Our Services and Fees (from July 1, 2024)

Patrick provides individual therapy for adults experiencing a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, and stress-related concerns. If you would like to discuss whether his approach is right for you, please get in touch via phone or email.

Sessions are available face-to-face in Annandale, or telehealth via phone or Zoom.

Patrick is a registered clinical psychologist, and as such you may be eligible for a rebate under Medicare for your session with a referral from your GP. To find out more, book an appointment with you GP and ask about seeing a psychologist. You can also book an appointment directly with Patrick without a Mental Health Care Plan if you would prefer, but you will not be eligible for a rebate.

A standard consult lasts 50 minutes and costs $250. With an MHTP from your GP you may receive a rebate from Medicare of $141.85 for up to 10 sessions each calendar year.

Concessional fees may be available if you are experiencing financial hardship; please inquire when making your appointment.

What days and times are psychology appointments available?

Appointments are typically available from Monday to Friday. Some after-hours appointments may be available, but these are limited.

How do I get a Mental Health Treatment Plan or referral?

You can get a referral for psychology sessions by speaking with a GP. If this is your first time seeking a mental health referral, most GPs prefer that you book a longer appointment to allow enough time to discuss your needs and to prepare a referral.

How many sessions can I be referred for?

There is a maximum number of six sessions on each referral, and you can access up to 10 subsidised sessions each calendar year. At the end of each referral you will typically check in with your doctor to discuss your progress, and an updated referral can then be made.

Can I use private health insurance to cover my sessions?

Many funds offer some level of coverage for psychology, but you will have to check your specific policy. Unfortunately you can only claim from either Medicare or your private health fund for any given appointment.
